This chalet-style house dates from the early 20th century and was fully refurbished with completion in 2014.
In its total refurbishment work, the details of its origins were preserved, namely, wooden floors, interior doors and shutters, and original handrails inside and outside. Keeping the property's personality, the interior organization of the divisions was changed, transforming a property with 10 rooms into a functional house with 6 bedrooms. The refurbishment transformed this unique villa into a modern comfort of living with its historical look.
Following the wish of the current owners to preserve its history, the American windmill was maintained and restored, running today with the sea breeze.

Some curious details about this property:
The request for construction of this property dates back to 1903 when its first owner Mathias Marques Nunes requested authorization to build it, thus giving it the name of Chalet Matias. The next owner of this property, Arthur Augusto Brandão, asked in 1928 for authorization to build the wall that currently surrounds the house and in 1929 carried out some additional maintenance works. This house is renamed Chalet Brandão. In 1946, the then owner Antónia Brandão, decided to carry out some works of an aesthetic nature and conservation on the walls, painting the exterior wood, and replacing the original roof eaves with Portuguese eaves.
